Lithuanian Dinner

The Lithuanian Dinner will take place in Trakai Castle, 20km from Vilnius. The castles of Trakai are the best known works of defensive architecture in Lithuania. The construction of the stone Trakai castle was begun in the 14th century by Kęstutis, and around 1409 major works were completed by his son Vytautas the Great, who died in this castle in 1430. Trakai was one of the main centers of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the castle held great strategic importance.
National food, lithuanian traditions, games according to the custom of the country makes you feel pleasant.

The goal of the National Gallery of Art (NGA) is to collect and research Lithuanian art of the 20th and 21st Century and present it to Lithuanian and international audiences as a part of the international modern art culture. NGA is a contemporaneous, multifunctional centre for art and culture seeking a dialogue with society. This is a space for active communication where the audience can see the permanent exposition and temporary exhibitions as well as participate in cultural events, lectures and educational programmes.

Trakai is located 20 km west of Vilnius. There are many lakes in the region. Trakai Castle & Museum of 15th century (in the middle of Lake Galvė) is the only insular castle throughout Eastern Europe. Island castle is one of the most visited historical-architectural monuments in Lithuania. The distinctive feature of Trakai is that the town was built and preserved by people of different nationalities. Here lived communities of Karaites, Tartars, Lithuanians, Russians and Polish.
Kernave is a cradle of Lithuania. It is an ancient capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, situated on the banks of the river Neris. Picturesque hills of Kernave are considered to be a visit card of the Lithuanian tourism and it is mentioned in the list of the world cultural heritage by UNESCO. One of the most interesting places in Kernave is the museum. There is a rich collection of archaeological, ethnographical and photo exhibitions which shows the historical development of Kernave.
